Dr. Salter received a Bachelor's Degree in Education, with an emphasis in Special Education, in 2004 from Georgia Southern University.

She received her Master's Degree in Education, with an emphasis in Special Education, in 2006 from Georgia Southern University.

Dr. Salter furthered her education receiving her Specialist Degree in Curriculum Instruction Management and Administration in 2007.

In 2017, she earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Mercer University and this past July 2018, she completed certification in Leadership through Valdosta State University. 


Dr. Salter is currently beginning her 15th year in education.  She began at the Elementary level teaching self-contained in her her home town of Hawkinsville.  She was there for 3 years before beginning her career at Perry High School.  During her time at PHS, she has served as the self-contained MOID teacher for 3 years, a self-contained MIID teacher for 3 years, and in the Interrelated Department for Science and History the past 5 years.  She has also served as the Special Education Department chair for the past 6 years.  


Dr. Salter is married to Dusty Salter.  They have 3 children, Cameron Salter who is 14; Avery Salter who is 7, and Gunner Salter who is 5.  They also have two pets who are like children, Bruiser- a 7 lb terrier and Raven- a black lab.  They are active members of CrossPoint Baptist Church and love being part of the Perry, Houston County community.
