Mr. Wesley "Del" Martin
Mr. Martin has his bachelor’s degree in Administrative Business (Marketing) and Business Education from Valdosta State University. He received his Masters and Specialist from Georgia College and State University. Mr. Martin has taught Business Education at Dooly County High School and Houston County High School. Mr. Martin became an administrator at Houston County High as an Assistant Principal and Career Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Supervisor from 2012 to 2016. Mr. Martin has been Principal at Perry High School since Fall of 2016.
Mr. Martin is married to Teresa Martin and they have two children, Victoria and Olivia.
Dr. Arthur Billings, Assistant Principal
Dr. Arthur Billings is a 1993 graduate of Perry High School and is excited to begin his 7th year as an administrator at his Alma Mater. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Fort Valley State University, Master’s Degree from Cambridge College, and Specialist/Doctorate of Educational Leadership degrees from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Billings has taught, coached and served as an assistant principal in Houston County for 23 years. He began his journey teaching 4th grade at Westside Elementary while coaching Football/Basketball at Tabor Middle School. He also taught Social Science at Bert Rumble Middle School while coaching Varsity Football at Perry High School.
Dr. Billings has been married to his wife Catina for 20 years who is also a graduate of Perry High School. They are the proud parents of their daughter, Chelsea, who is enrolled to attend Georgia Southern University in the Fall as a Freshman.

Mrs. Melisa Hunt, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Melisa Hunt is a proud graduate of the Houston County School system. She graduated from Northside High School and continued on to receive her associate’s degree in secondary math from Macon College, her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Georgia Southern University, her master’s degree in emotional behavior disorders from Georgia College, and her education specialist degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in special education from Liberty University.
Mrs. Hunt holds multiple special education certificates, an ESOL endorsement, a middle grades math certification, and a teacher support and coaching endorsement. She began teaching at Houston County High School and then started her journey as an Air Force wife. Mrs. Hunt taught at Mangum High School, in Mangum, OK; East Bay High School, in Gibsonton, FL; Mascoutah Middle School, in Mascoutah, IL, and Moanalua Community College, in Honolulu, HI. Her roles included department chair, behavioral specialist, mentor, and coach. Mrs. Hunt returned to Houston County High School after her husband’s retirement, where she was chosen to be the Teacher of the Year, and top ten in the county. Mrs. Hunt taught at Bonaire Middle School for one year and is excited to now be the Assistant Principal of Discipline at Perry High School
Mrs. Hunt currently lives in Bonaire, GA, with her husband of over 25 years. They have two amazing children, Tyler and Megan.
Mrs. Nicole Stone, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Nicole Stone received her bachelor’s degree in English with secondary education certification from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee and her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Valdosta State University. She also holds gifted and AP certification and is reading endorsed. She has taught various levels of English from sixth grade to seniors at the Wisconsin Career Academy, Wilkinson County High School, Houston County High School, and Bonaire Middle School. Mrs. Stone is now the Assistant Principal of Instruction at Perry High School. Mrs. Stone has received the Teacher of the Year award at Wilkinson County High School and at Houston County High School and was also nominated for the Kohl’s Fellowship Foundation award for educators.
Mrs. Stone lives in Bonaire with her husband John and their two children Allie and Nolan.
Mr. Jay Wood, Assistant Principal
Mr. Jay Wood is a proud product of the Houston County School System, graduating from Warner Robins High School. He obtained his Bachelors of Science in Mathematics from Georgia Southern University, followed by a Masters of Education in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. Most recently, he earned an Educational Specialist degree in Leadership from Valdosta State University. Mr. Wood began his teaching career at Feagin Mill Middle School before serving as a math teacher and then guidance counselor at Warner Robins Middle School and Assistant Principal at Northside Middle. He joined the Panthers in 2021 as an Assistant Principal. Mr. Wood is also a member of the District PBIS leadership team.
He is married to Melissa Wood, a fellow educator, and they are the proud parents of 4 wonderful children: Miller, Britten, Stella, and Weslyn.
