Bio
Coach Clegg begins her first year as head coach of the PHS Softball team while teaching Health and Physical Education. Her mission is to pass on her knowledge and love of the game to her players and use softball to build good character while building a championship mindset and culture. In the classroom, she hopes to make a positive impact on her students' lives and provide a safe space for them to be themselves.
Prior to coming to Perry, she spent two years as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the Valdosta State University softball team while earning her Master's in Higher Education Leadership.
During her softball career, she played two years at Chipola College in Marianna, Florida where she was a part of the 2019 NJCAA National Championship team. After graduating from Chipola, she earned a scholarship to play at Coastal Carolina University where she earned her bachelor's degree in Recreation and Sport Management. After graduation, she transferred to Valdosta State University to play her Covid year which was her last year of playing before becoming a graduate assistant.
Coach Clegg graduated from Lee County High School in 2017. Fun Fact: She still holds the single season and career record for homeruns at LCHS.
