Bio

Mrs. Ashley Denton is a 2003 graduate of Jenkins County High School, in Millen, Georgia, one of the smallest places ever! She went on to receive an Associates in Agriculture from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in 2005, a Bachelors in Animal Science from the University of Georgia in 2007, and Master in Agricultural Leadership from the University of Georgia in 2009. Go Dawgs!!! She began her teaching career in 2008 at South Effingham High School, and then went back to her Alma Matter at Jenkins County High School before moving to Perry in 2010 to work as the Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor at Perry Middle. She moved to Perry High School in 2016 to join the Agriculture Department.

Mrs. Denton is married to Matthew Denton, and they have 2 girls, Raegan and Ryleigh. Their hobbies include pretty much anything livestock related, which is our family time as well. Both girls show pigs, right alongside of our high school FFA students.

Our goal in the Agriculture department is that ALL students will have the opportunity in Agriculture to truly learn with a hands on approach, as we are able to utilize the school farm and greenhouses, along with students being able to participate as members of the Perry FFA.

"FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education." - FFA Mission Statement
