I am originally from a small town in northeast Alabama. I graduated from Skyline High. I attended Snead State Community College, where I also played basketball. I was then recruited and played Division 1 basketball at the University of South Alabama in Mobile. After a career ending injury, I returned home and finished my undergraduate degree at Athens State University. I earned a BSEd in Physical Education and English. I later attended the United States Sports Academy earning my Master’s Degree in Sports Medicine and fulfilled my dream of becoming an Athletic Trainer.
I taught my first 8 years at my high school Alma Mater in Alabama and in 2001 decided I needed a change and moved to McDonough, GA. I took a job teaching in Henry County and worked there for 17 years. While working in Henry County, I worked in two high schools, one middle school, and two elementary schools. I worked one year in Bibb County.
I have two children, a set of twins, Their names are Jack and Jessie.
My family moved to Houston County in 2018 and then to Perry in 2021. The twins and I love Perry and are happy to now be part of the Panther family here at Perry High School.
