Mrs. Melissa Sendek is one of the World Language Teachers at Perry High School.  She began her life-long learning of the Spanish language in high school in 1987.  She continued learning Spanish throughout college, where she majored in Spanish with a minor in History and Theatre at the University of Montevallo in Alabama in 1995.  She also earned a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Montevallo in 1997.  Traveling is one of Mrs. Sendek’s favorite things to do to get real world practice in the Spanish language.  She, her husband, Joe Sendek, and their son, Jacob, love to travel.  To experience is to learn.  Traveling is one of Mrs. Sendek’s favorite ways to experience and utilize the Spanish language.
