Bio

Ms. Jackson graduated from Central High School in Macon, GA. She then attended and graduated from undergraduate school at the former Macon State College, now known as Middle Georgia State University, in 2012 and received a Bachelors of Arts in English, an Associates of Arts in Spanish, and minored in Information Technology. While teaching, she received a Masters in Secondary Education with a concentration in English from Georgia College and State University in 2015.  She also earned a Specialist in Secondary Education at the University of West Georgia in Spring of 2022.

Ms. Jackson started her teaching career at Southwest High School and Law Academy in 2012 and continued her career at Perry High School, starting in 2015. She has taught 9th Grade Literature and Composition, 10th Grade World Literature and Composition, 11th Grade American Literature and Composition, and Advanced Placement(AP) Language and Composition.  This includes having taught students of various ability levels. She is certified to teach grades 6-12 English/Language Arts courses,  gifted students, reading and literacy, and Advanced Placement(AP) Language and Advanced Placement Literature courses.

Ms. Jackson is also the advisor for the Perry High School Anime Club which she and the students established in 2015. The anime club was established to bring awareness about Japan and other Asian cultures and languages in order to provide opportunities of exposure to the ever growing world of anime and manga. The PHS Anime Club will have calendars with meeting dates that are available at the beginning of each month.
